USAID Learning Days
I provided technical assistance to an impact evaluation (IE) clinic organized by the DRG Learning Center of USAID. The clinic brought together USAID Mission Staff and academics to learn about IE and develop concept designs for evaluations of USAID programming.
With Kim Yi Dionne I developed and delivered a workshop on local governance that reviewed both the current research and commonly used designs.
In addition, I worked with USAID Mission staff from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) to evaluate the suitability of their programming for an RCT, and to develop a concept study design.
Integrated Governance Activity in the Health Sector in DRC
Along with Kim Yi Dionne and Nicole Bonoff, I developed a design for a randomized control trial of USAID’s integrated governance activity in the DRC. The evaluation looks at the effectiveness of participatory budgeting and audits with results-based financing of health clinics to improve service delivery.
